The Library of the Academy for Theological Studies of Volos has renewed its online catalog (OPAC). The book search is done in many ways in a user-friendly environment. New possibilities are added to its advantages. Four languages are available (Greek, English, French, German) as well as the whole catalogue of all the journal titles (over 440 titles).
As it expands its collection, priority is given to books related to philosophy, theology, sociology as well as byzantine art and culture. The cataloging of the donations of the late professors Christodoulos Vasilopoulos and Georgios Tsatsanas has been recently completed, as well as the latter’s file (with the help of the Librarians, who are working on 5 month employment programs).
The Library offers its users a quiet place. There is a Reading room available especially for Theologians-teachers, for specific groups of people such as clergy, researchers and for undergraduate and post-graduate students. Its items are comprised of over 11.500 book titles and 440 periodical titles.
The users can search the material on the Online Catalogue (OPAC) of the Library at the Academy website (http://www.acadimia.org), or click here.
