International Conference on the documentation of Ecclesiastical Cultural Heritage

The work of the International Conference on the DOCUMENTATION OF ECCLESIASTICAL CULTURAL HERITAGE of the Narrate Project, organized by the University of “Saint Clement of Ohrid” in Sofia, Bulgaria, with participations from Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Lebanon, Italy and the USA, was completed on Wednesday, March 13. Volos Academy for Theological Studies was represented by its associate, Costis Drygianakis, who spoke on the topic “An icon, a site, a book: We and the digital representations of church cultural heritage”.

More photographic material has been posted on the official webpage of the program https://narrateproject.eu/conference, while the proceedings of the Conference are under preparation.

Unfortunately, the completion of the Conference coincided with the passing of His Eminence Neophytos, the Patriarch of Bulgaria, on the night of March 13th. Volos Academy expresses its human sorrow for the event and hopes that his successor will open a new page in the history of the Church of Bulgaria.
